Yes, they started after every other team had already played a bunch of games. They are currently 0-9, and 0-3 in the league. As a team, they can't hit, but probably because they haven't played many games, and the games they have played are spread out, so they haven't gotten in a rhythm. But despite that, they need pitchers.
UC Davis came down to play UC Irvine over the weekend. UCI is just about 10 miles away. They played a double header on Saturday & a game on Sunday. I was able to see the second game on Sat & the game on Sunday. My son started the Saturday game I went to & started the Sunday game. After starting off the season 0-10, he has now started hitting better. He got 3 walks, an RBI double & hit another ball to the wall for a line out off a 95 mph pitcher. So hopefully, he is heating up.
I could be biased, but I thought he did a great job catching. Blocked every ball, and made a couple of plays at the plate.
We spent time with him Friday & Saturday night & saw him after Sunday's game. He is having a great time & loves it.
Thanks for asking.
Sounds like fun, gub! Glad he’s loving life!
Good for him gub, glad he is enjoying it.

Have a good one gub.
