I believe it is highly likely that if we had had normal nation-to-nation relations between the U.S. and Russia this past decade (as Trump wanted to re-establish) where there was basic and normal respect of national interests, that this war would not be happening. The Democrats’ demonization of Russia and Putin (aped by establishment Republican fellow-riders), for more than a decade, for their own political and financial advantage is directly responsible for this war.
It is my firm and rigidly held belief that the Unites States has presently the worst and most corrupt government on Earth. It is in this government that the Lion’s Share of blame resides for the death and destruction in Ukraine. If that puts me with Xi and Putin, I don’t care. It is the truth and no amount of misplaced loyalty to this rancid government can change that truth.
