It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere....
Our granddad worked for the same company for 35 years and enjoyed it.
However, when his retirement came at age 65, he enjoyed that for a decade plus.
His message to us was never fall in love with a company. Only fall in love with your family, friends and church. So leave and walk away from that company when that time comes.
Every grand kid and his only son followed that advice. All of us took early retirement, when it was offered and basically never looked back. All of the grandkids are still alive in our 80’s or late 70’s. His son survived WWII and 30+ years with the same company his Dad had worked for.
That company became a good company to leave.
