I read this earlier today, and it makes me glad that I couldn’t have children; I’m vicious when it comes to the safety of my dog. Imagine if I had kids.
However, I worry immensely for my niece and nephews, and I fear for the children stuck in the public school system.
We had a pedo teaching computer literacy when I was 11-13 at my middle school in the late nineties, and I caught him staring down my shirt several times (I started developing at ten). He was found to have CP/CSAM on his office computer and was briefly fired while my brother was there a couple of years later. I say, “briefly” because he claimed a student planted it, and otherwise couldn’t be proven at the time.
Yeah. Mr. Zuhn. The guy was a creep.

I honestly don’t think the schools are the main problem today, it’s the ambient culture which surrounds kids which is absolute poison. The public schools are just a ready conduit for that culture.
My brother’s two daughters went to a classical (Evangelical) Christian private school K-12, and they are already showing signs of capitulating to the leftist dogma with hardly a fight. My brother’s family had been consistently Christian in practice and conviction (take frequent retreats to a Christian camp together, deeply involved with a Bible church, etc.)
Oldest one graduated high school and got a scholarship to a stauchly conservative Church of Christ affiliated college in Texas. After her first year there, she became suddenly disengaged and almost agnostic in her attitude, becoming distant from her family and dating questionable boys. I’m not sure about some unknown dynamic in their family, but you’d think that insulating her from the debauched culture of public schools would be a net plus, and yet, now she’s attending one of the most liberal state universities in an “art” program, with all the exposure to leftist weirdos that involves. I don’t hold out much hope for my niece, and pray that she comes back around to her roots.
The younger niece is now a psych major in a secular university, a sure death sentence to any Christian faith if she is a “good” student of her studies.
I know both of them supported Hillary over Trump, and routinely regurgitate the lies told about Trump by the left.
