Yes, I’m glad he survived. I’m sure that was traumatic for him and his family.
It sucks that Chicago has gotten so violent. A friend and I went there about 20 years ago {creak!} to experience staying downtown and taking the “L” to Wrigley Field. We went to two day games, ate and had some cold ones in Wrigleyville afterwards and did touristy things in the evenings like the Navy Pier and Rush Street. We stumbled upon a swing dance festival on Michigan Avenue one evening that was really fun and had some really good deep-dish pizza. I’m glad we went when we did.
Yep - they make them real good at the Whataburger I go to.
Don’t worry, BLM will bail them out. $100K is nothing for that crime syndicate. They just bailed a fellow gorilla out that had attempted to assassinate a mayoral candidate (which state escapes me right now) so that kind of money is no biggie.
