Already up to nearly 400,000 registered users this morning, which is pretty remarkable considering how painful it was to get registered yesterday. I actually spent a good few hours pounding away until I finally got through. I haven’t been that persistent on a phone since trying to get U2 tickets in the 1980s!

EVERY agency in the CIA-NSA-DOJ-FBI-SS-IRS group was corrupted during the Clinton-Bush II-Obama era. Few inserted then have been fired. None imprisoned.
Anybody who has read about the early days of Facebook, Twitter, etc., can appreciate.
Now add to that the fact that many sinister forces are going to be out to try and destroy the platform, whether by DoS attacks, saturating it with bots, and who knows what else.
The people working to get this platform off the ground have their work cut out for them. I will therefore try not to be critical and will have some patience while they get their act together.

You are correct. An undertaking of this magnitude requires a lot of resources. If those resources aren't available (servers, bandwidth, etc) it will fail miserably.
You can be assured the left is mocking this as we did when the ObozoCare website rolled out and was a major disaster.

Spent some time managing an IT group, business facing. Twitter is what 15 years old? It was not as slick as it is on day one. Not even in the first few years. There is no way new software will start out as slick as 15 year old competitors. Just wont happen. Look at Rumble…. It at least works now. Compare it visually and functionally with youtube. Not even close. Maybe it will be over time.

Unfortunately that's exactly what DJT did as POTUS. Quite a few of the people who he hired as advisers and assistants turned out to be working against him.
Knowing what he accomplished in 3 years, just think what he could have done for this country if he would have ignored people like Sessions, Cohen, Bolton, Scaramucci, and many others....
I hope that Truth Social will not be a repeat and that it will indeed decrease the amount of zuckbucks that are in this world....
