Agreed my car is not as sexy looking, but we are comparing costs here since that was your point about cost to charge versus filling the tank with gas.

Yes. I agree with THAT completely. Also, a new $30,000 conventional car may end up having a smaller footprint than a $120,000 Roadster. Buying a Roadster to save the environment is self-delusion, except it funded factories to build less expensive vehicles... a plan which Obama’s fuel-efficiency credit ironically nearly destroyed.
In the long run, though, electric cars do end up with a much smaller footprint than gas cars, and eventually, renewables and nuclear can produce all our electricity, likely much sooner than anyone now presumes. But when it comes to cordless, you need batteries. Or Doc Brown.
