Another solution: Go back to requiring skating figures as part of the score! Yeah, they are boring to watch but they teach a fluid grace and require a level of concentration and attention to detail few teens excel at.
Figure skating has become “Jumping On Ice”. It has become gymnastics instead of ballet...

75% of girls are automatically eliminated from medaling in some Olympic sports because they were born in the wrong year. I hear that some former gymnasts and skaters make sure to have babies (hopefully daughters) in the right years so that they will be at the best age in an Olympic year.

Seriously....the quad has ruined all skating. The programs have become incredibly boring as all energy must go in to spinning 4 times (which doesn’t have any more program appeal than a double or triple jump combo performed flawlessly)
so a jump is worth more than the HUNDREDS of little girls childhoods/bodies/mental health/dreams... is that it??

Olympics should only include objectively score or measured events.

Raising the age limit for figure skating (and all sports) could end the era of child molestation passing as coaching.
