An outdoor shelf or steps to take advantage of vertical space would be nice but plywood and 2x4s are too expensive. I won’t be building anything unless it’s from sticks, twine and rocks. Or maybe find something dumpster diving. 🤔

My third year of gardening goals: Less experimentation and growing more of what worked last year, maximizing yield if possible.

I agree! It’s taken me six years here at my ‘new’ garden, and I have it down to a science.

I’ll try one or two things new every season; usually flowers of some sort, or a new (to me) salad green, or a better way to use my (unheated) greenhouse, but other than that, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! :)
