I can still recall the very first ‘gowning up’ that I did for a Covid Patient in the ICU. That has to be more than 2 years ago by now.

A young Nurse with whom I was very friendly for at least a couple of years, more l am sure, but I do not record such things. Anyhow, she is a very attractive young woman with many talents, as if being an ICU Nurse was not enough. She went through the entire proper procedure in detail. As well there was a disrobing procedure that had to be done ‘by the numbers’ and seriously, the Nurse Managers were vigilant in confirming that everything was done properly ‘by the book.’ We were watched as closely as Winston Smith likely ever was, and those Nurse Managers can be tough.

The video which starred my friend ran in a loop 24 hours a day in my Department. I presumed that was the case in other Departments as well. They played it for days and days on a big screen TV. No Wheel Of Fortune for us during those 2 weeks or so.

Once we really started gowning up and entering the Patient rooms, it quickly became routine. I soon referred to the disrobing as ‘Decloaking’ and some of it was definitely overkill. Anyhow, within short order, supplies began to become quite scarce. The N-95 masks ran out first I think. Now, in order to properly wear an N-95 one has to be ‘fitted.’ You cannot just put the thing on as it has to be a perfect fit for each individual. Now I am a big guy, yet incredibly I took a small sized N-95. Everybody has a different face. A small framed person will often require a size Large mask. You simply have to be ‘fitted’ in order to know. N-95s are absolutely not ‘One Size Fits All.

There is a test involved in fitting. They squirt an aerosol at your face while you wear a big hood over your head, and you have to be able to taste or smell the substance. Ordinarily it is Saccharine, it can be a Pepper spray, then with the mask on, they spray again ,make adjustments for snugness and if you are properly fitted, then fine. If you are wearing an N-95 and have never been tested, then it would be a complete fluke it it was protecting you from anything. Most likely you could just toss the thing in the trash and it would be the same. Of course the masks are one use only and disposable, into a safe container. Ha, good luck with that.

Naturally, a nationwide shortage of N-95 masks was rather quickly in evidence. Solution? Reuse them, over and over again. I have told this story before. The truth is they might as well skip the N-95 masks because it was reckless and stupid what they were doing. Nobody ever spoke up. By the time the Mask Crisis set in, I was convinced that this entire Covid 19 pandemic was complete BS. That was late April 2020.

Simultaneously, we were running out of alcohol wipes. We were short on gloves. Those stupid paper gowns were getting harder to find. Somebody came up with a terrific idea, they began to quickly manufacture reusable gowns. They made the things out of the stuff that those automobile air deployment bags were made from. They were donated by Ford I think. Way to go Ford. Cool, they were water proof and had Velcro, making them easier to tighten up. Those stringy paper ties were always a bitch for me. It was great, those reusable gowns, until you had to wear the things for more than 5 minutes. Sure, I can take a Sauna once in a while, but really, not 3, 4, or 5 of them in an hour. It was like walking around in an oven for most of the day, while wearing masks and gloves. Every time we wore them for more than a few minutes we were sweaty and miserable.

The stupidest thing that we started running out of was the wipes. They had the CNAs (Nurses Assistants) coming in and opening all of the containers and cutting them all in half with scissors.

It was all foolishness, and they had us jumping through hoops constantly for weeks, months, and now it is two years already. It is all hogwash. I seen this crap in person. I am not stupid and they never paid me enough money to pretend that I am and look the other way. Besides all that, I ain’t taken that poison into my bloodstream.

I have had Recruiters trying to get me to go work in places at better than double what I have ever earned in the Industry. There are companies offering 3-4 times what I was earning. Take away the Vac requirement and I might considerate it, but no they won’t do that. Too many Federal Bucks on the line. Nein Danke. I cannot play these games and continue to help perpetuate the lies.

Why? The answer is simple, I want to go to Heaven when I die.

Interesting about the mask and alcohol wipe shortage.

I’m sure you recall store shelves devoid of, besides paper goods, alcohol wipes. Finding some was a bonanza and resulted in taking phone pictures and showing off to my sister. We had them at work, and I was always well-stocked in TP, but it seems like it was not a good situation for all.

As it stands now, there’s only one or two places I wear a mask - work, during day shift, and only out in hallways and “common” areas, and medical facilities if required.

I think like all here, I’m anxious to get my free government M-95 masks along with ash crack pipe and those 4 free Chinese Covid tests. (Do I need the sarcasm tag?)

I have a box or two of actual made-in-USA paper masks. Might have them forever. Keep a few in a plastic bag in both vehicles, just in case I need one. Keep them kind of clean.

Yeah, the plandemic is a scam, part of what’s going on in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and here in the US. WEF behind it all, needs to be taken down with extreme prejudice IMHO.
