Castreau invoked the Act on Valentines Day and the Act requires that it be ratified by the House of Commons within 7 sitting days. Tomorrow was the last day given that trudeau declared Friday was not a sitting day because of the dangers the protesters represented to the MP’s that day. 🙄 Given that he’s invoking the Act because of an “emergency”, every calendar day is deemed to be a sitting day. It would be hard to justify there was a real emergency if they just took a day off because they were tired or had already worked 5 days that week.
