If you’re interested in what I call pre-history a great place to start is Zachariah Sitchen’s book “When Giants Were Upon the Earth.” He dives into the first page of Genesis way deeper than your Sunday School teacher did. And he describes a bunch of the middle east digs from the last half century or so. He learned Sumerian cunieform and spent maybe half his life reading the tablets in the Sumer library. All of his books dive into ME early days including those old Hebrews who lived really long times.

Thanks. I consumed all of the Stichen writings years ago, and many times. The best books were the ones about his travels.

I had that book when I was in my 20s! (Maybe it’s still in a box somewhere.) I wasn’t yet a Christian, but after I became one a few years later, my very conservative and biblically literate Christian friends pooh-poohed it and called it conspiracy theories. How times change...
