Ugh, yes, part of the club. I came down with something 1st week of January. I was visiting someone in the hospital over a course of 3 days. I ate a salad and initially suspected lysteria, but no vomiting or runs so probably probably hospital sourced Coof. A doctor who is a friend indicated that 80 people at that hospital were out with covid so I would not doubt it as the source.

I did have Ivermectin and used that right away. (And continued to use it..) Also used C, D, zinc and Tonic water and quercetin/bromulain, elderberry syrup. I used salt and baking soda gargles with several drops of potassium iodine.

I still felt lousy in spite of that. I did not want to eat, food did not smell or taste good; I medicated and lived on Pedialyte and coffee and soup for about a week dropping about 8 pounds. Afternoons I just laid in bed listening to Mrs. Pete surfing the internet. (Closed eyes trying to sleep; Clicking the keys....no clue what she was looking at but appreciated the company.) Normally in the past If I had Upper Respiratory Infection it was easy to look beyond it to a time when I would feel better. This was different...with this I was more drained and tired and it was hard to not have really negative dark terminal thoughts that were hard to shake and wonder if this is the best I will ever feel again?

About 1 1/2 weeks ago I started taking Vicks severe cold remedy too, and added Xynase nasal spray. Had a loose clear phlegm that had greened up but now has pretty much dried up. (I suspect that I was suffering from Covid at the same time as somebacterial URI or Pneumonia.)

Still tired. Cant imagine having an appendectomy and this, Petey, or losing family like you C.t.C., at the same time you get hit with this. This was a totally wretched adventure in geriatric medicine.

I’ve never taken any supplements. My husband takes about 10 a day. Neither of us took anything special when we had the covid. My daughter used some nasal spray for a stuffy nose and ibuprofen for pain but nothing else.

I finally convinced her to take some Zinc, D3 and C. I’m not sure what else to suggest for what seems to be long haul covid.
