I saw it—it was awful. Who selected the music? All there third world countries with one skier (from America) and why was Russia not permitted to fly her flag? And the Chinese children singing—looked horrible—Staged. Kids knew if they made an error they would go to the starvation camps. Very digital—But not Human. It was 1936 games with our athletes not permitted to say anything bad about the Nazis. This will go down at a terrible footnote.
Amen :-)
I have nothing against Nancy and she obviously was a fine and disciplined skater so in terms of "being a fan", I guess you could say I was a fan of her skating ability.
However, as a girlfriend, I just think Nancy would be way more high-maintenance if you catch my drift. Tonya on the other hand seems the type that would just be fun to be around. With the right man, she would have truly blossomed. Tonya had a hardscrabble childhood and yet she was able to overcome that background and excel at something that gave her a measure of fame and recognition. I have a soft spot for women (or anybody for that matter) that can rise above adverse circumstances and make a success of their lives.
She should have had better men in her life. Bad choices in men are the downfall of many a decent woman.
Agree.
I think some were attracted to watch The Golden Years of Professional Bowling: 1965. And Barry Manilow Live at the Iowa State Fair. Crowd pleasers.
Yeah Tonya especially loved demolition derbies ...

Russia and her flag:
here’s your answer - because Russia got caught cheating at Sochi winter via doping, Russia doesn’t exist for a number of major international sporting events, such as the Olympics and some soccer thing
