Rogan is the most popular podcaster in America but he opened himself up to censorship, not just about COVID but about everything critics dislike.
When some has-been hippies decided to see if they could leverage themselves into renewed fame by attacking Joe Rogan for daring to post interviews countering Anthony Fauci, Rogan groveled. He apologized and agreed to have warnings posted on his content. Once you start down that road, you’ve already lost. Alert people have noticed that 70 of Rogan’s podcasts have mysteriously vanished. It seems that they’ve done so because in older podcasts he offended today’s racial sensibilities. One wonders what will go next.
Joe Rogan is far and away the most popular media personality in America. His podcasts eclipse everyone else out there. That’s why Spotify inked a deal reputed to be worth $100 million dollars to get exclusive rights to Rogan’s content. Although Rogan is a leftist who endorsed Bernie Sanders and wants to see Michelle Obama run for president, he’s not big on cancel culture or political correctness. He invites a broad variety of people on his show—political and non-political, left and right—to ask them questions and then respectfully gives them a chance to answer those questions.
Fairly recently, he had doctors Robert Malone and Peter McCullough on his show. Both are true experts in their field and both have consistently challenged the Faucian orthodoxy about COVID and vaccines. Because they do not believe in vaccine mandates, boosters, vaccines for children, mandatory masks, or any of the other totalitarian prescriptions Fauci, Biden, the federal government, the teachers’ unions, and other leftists are insisting upon, they are the enemy and guilty of misinformation. As I detailed here the real misinformation comes from the establishment, which has been wrong about everything as well as lying about COVID’s

Rogan better punch back or the left will own him.
Never apologize, never explain. Learn it, Joe
The price of compromise, of obedience. Freedom lost.
Did he really think that he would be forgiven after his confession and grovel ?
Ah ha ha ha.
Commies never forgive, they get even, and then some.
Plus the loss of respect amongst those who defended you.
Rogan has always been a middle of the roader. He is not a conservative thinker. Never has been, imho.
Agree 100%.
With such a large part of the population “askeeeered” of — gasp! — CRITICISM of any kind, America is just one rusty razor blade away from total castration.
I wonder if the woman that Rogan thinks is the smartest, most loved and admired woman in the U.S., Mochelle, jumping on board to threaten him has rattled him a bit.
To be fair, they weren’t covid episodes. They were older episodes where the N word was used and even discussed. I think this was more Joe than spotify.
Rogan is about to learn the lesson he has so often lectured his listeners about:
Never surrender an inch or apologize to the radical of any kind because they will always see it as a sign of weakness and it will only encourage them to continue to attack and demand more.
And I will leave anyone reading this with a quote from C.S. Lewis on tyranny:
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
I did not know who Joe Rogan was until this little tempest. However, I do know if he apologizes, he is through.
As John Wayne’s character said in “She wore a Yellow Ribbon”; “Never apologize Mister, it’s a sign of weakness.”
And that is a fact. If Rogan does apologize, he is done.
When you are in the right - as Joe was about Covid - apologizing for it is one of the worst things a human being can do. It cuts truth off at the knees. I am not a Rogan fan, but he can be right about some stuff, and I credit him for those times.
He should not have apologized, and the fact that Charles Manson's biggest music fan (Neil Young... another Canadian-born Laurel Canyonero), one of Neil's ex-squeezes, and the most odious of the ex-Byrds collectively made him cry uncle is not a ringing endorsement of Joe.
Too bad, Joe... you made a difference for the better and then negated it. Sad.
A great quote, but I don’t think our tyranny thinks it is sincerely being used for our good. The “for your own good” is just part of the hoax in their narscissistic greed for power over others..
Good point. Even the author doesn’t know who removed the “shows”, or why.
Maybe this is part of his “apology”. It sounds like an unholy alliance, that he is popular, here.
I have no idea who the Michael Malice is but he's suppoused to have had two Rogan shows deleted. I saw the list on twitter of the alleged 70 interviews that are supposed to be deleted and happened to see his name because there were two instances and on the list, one right on top of the other. Then I was scrolling through spotify seeing who else Rogan had interviewed that I might be interested in and happen to see Malice's name and then saw his name a second time.
Plays just fine.
The list I saw also had "Deleted" next to each name and I don't see any like that in the spotify app. What I thought was odd about said list is that McCullough and Malone weren't on it. Those, especially Malone, were the "controversial" ones. Why would spotify remove 70 shows but not Malone?
Still there at the spot I stopped it at, last few seconds.
Trust but verify? Especially when it originates on twitter? Maybe it's only the Android and/or Apple mobile app(s)? Desktop app for Linux isn't missing any shows that I can see.
Rogan is a putz.
This is one of those situations where the Left is flexing against one of their own that got out-of-line. Imagine the reaction in corporate boardrooms watching the Rogan Controversy play out? Nice business ya got there, Sir. Shame if anything happened to it!
