Professions should be rated for importance on this basis. How long would it take to notice if XXXXXX profession ceased to exist.

We could go on indefinitely without College Professors, Politicians..

However get rid of the plumbers and everything will come to a halt very quickly. Same same electricians and HVAC tradesmen. By this system a fast food fry cook has more value than a City Councilman. DMV employees have negative value as do lawyers.
