100-car pile-up shuts down Interstate 39 near El Paso, Illinois

EL PASO, Ill. (WLS) — Interstate 39 is shut down in downstate Illinois as authorities respond to a 100-car pileup Thursday afternoon.
Multiple crashes involving over 100 vehicles took place in the southbound lanes around 3:13 p.m. near El Paso, about 50 miles east of Peoria, Illinois State Police said.
An ABC7 sent us video showing a mangled mess of cars and semi-trucks as panicked drivers tried to find safety.
At this point, authorities have yet to report any injuries.
Traffic is being diverted off I-39 at El Paso (Exit 14) and onto IL 251 to bypass the crash site, Illinois State Police said.
I-39 southbound will be shut down from Normal to Minonk for an extended period of time, approximately 12 hours, according to state police.
A major winter storm created treacherous travel conditions across Illinois Thursday. IDOT tweeted this video of whiteout conditions near Peoria Thursday afternoon.

On the way to Columbus to protest the Ohio Republican Party
for trying to rig the election for DeWine.
I’m able to hold our party leaders accountable b/c I’m independent, unbought — no one chirps in my ear & tells me what to do.
Another great article by Margot Cleveland about the LSM and the Durham filing last Friday.

Thanks, looks like there’s confidence out there that nothing will happen. With the DOJ and activists judges, I don’t know.
Just saw a guy on Newsmax report from Ottawa, he said so many people there came up to him and said they had donated $100 and had their accounts frozen. A news photographer said he was limited in taking pictures.
RIP
What a mess.
Weather like that is a big reason I left.

The amendment failed in the Senate on Thursday on a vote of 46-47. Republican Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah, Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Richard Burr of North Carolina didn’t show up for the vote. Only three Democrat Senators failed to show, giving Democrats the edge on the amendment.

Trudeau cannot back down or this will create a domino effect around the world.
The truckers really are fighting for everyone’s freedom.
This isn’t just about Canada.
Michael Sussmann’s Lawyers: It’s OK If He Lied To The FBI
Special Counsel John Durham charged Sussmann in September 2021, in a one-count indictment, with lying to former FBI General Counsel James Baker in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001(a)(2).
Specifically, the indictment charged that when Sussmann met with Baker on September 19, 2016, and provided him “white papers” and data files purporting to show the Trump organization had established a secret communications channel with the Russia-connected Alfa Bank, Sussmann falsely claimed he was not acting on behalf of a client. In truth, the indictment alleged, Sussmann was working both for the Clinton campaign and an unnamed “U.S. technology industry executive,” since identified as Rodney Joffe.
In seeking dismissal of the Section 1001 false statement charge, Sussmann’s attorneys argue that even if the allegations in the indictment are the truth—something they dispute—the facts alleged do not constitute a crime because Sussmann’s alleged lie to Baker was not “material.” And, as Sussmann’s lawyers stress, Section 1001 criminalizes only “a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation.”
Sussmann’s lie to Baker, that he was not representing any clients in sharing the white papers and data about the purported Alfa Bank-Trump connection with the FBI, was immaterial, Sussmann argued in his motion, because “the only decision that the agency could try to make is the decision whether to initiate an investigation in the first place.” “After all, absent an existing investigation, there is no other formal exercise of governmental power that a false statement could conceivably influence,” the argument continued.
Whether the government believed Sussmann was acting on his own, or as a representative of Joffe and the Clinton campaign, is immaterial, Sussmann argued, because the government did not charge him with providing a false tip to the FBI. Under these circumstances, his motive for passing on the tip was entirely irrelevant to the government’s decision to investigate the Alfa Bank allegations, Sussmann claimed.

Yet, Flynn got trapped into giving a wrong date and look what they did to him.
Democrats needed to pass Biden’s budget, funding all the mandates and immoral activities of executive agencies. Republicans needed to give their base the impression they were fighting the mandates while concurrently ensuring that the budget passes. So, they hatched a plan to guarantee that one more Republican than Democrat would be absent, thereby assuring that even if they held an up-or-down vote (with a simple plurality), it would lose.
Some might focus their ire solely on those four GOP senators who were absent. Undoubtedly, they should be condemned for missing such an important point. But the broader picture reveals that the problem is not just in a few GOP senators but the entire leadership. They only agreed to hold these votes because they knew (or ensured) there would be one more Republican than Democrat missing in the chamber. That was the perfect outcome for them, whereby they got to hold a protest vote for the base but give away their leverage. This is proven by the fact that the other amendment they voted on – a balanced budget requirement by Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) – actually did “win” by 47-45 (Democrat Sens. Manchin and Sinema joined), but that was cleverly set at a 60-vote threshold because they knew they needed it. It’s all kabuki theater.
Trudeau’s Prohibition on Protests Exempts Refugees, Immigrants and Ethnic Minorities
The Canadian government’s Emergency Measures Regulations: SOR/2022-21 order bans people from taking part “in a public assembly that may reasonably be expected to lead to a breach of the peace.”
However, the law does not apply to “any person in a class of persons whose presence in Canada, as determined by the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration or the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, is in the national interest.”
This includes Indians, refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and ‘protected temporary residents’.
How can such brazen discrimination based on skin color and nationality be in any way legal?

The CDC just quietly lowered the standards for speech in early childhood development.
💥Now children should know ~50 words at 30mo rather than 24mo.
💥Instead of highlighting the harmful effects 😷s & lockdowns have had on children, the CDC just lowered the bar for milestones

Replying to @crrja5
This is such a crock! Speech delays in children because of masks mandated by the CDC and their schools have gone up 427%! And now they’re lowering the standards so they don’t have to take the responsibility! This is shameful. It is child abuse.
https://gettr.com/comment/coazmqd033
I guess it’s no “all for the children” anymore.
This is horrible! They will have to continue to lower the goalposts for children.

The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution gives every American the right “to be secure in their persons.” None of this - from testing, masking, to injections - could ever be constitutional. I’ve said this from day one. Yet, nearly every Republican allowed the scorpian on our backs
