Steve just had Maxime Bernier on - he’s the ONLY politician up here who’s been on the right side from the start. He’s been arrested for standing his ground.

He is the head of the PPC (People’s Party of Canada). I voted for him last time around, and will do so again.

David Menzies is a good reporter for Rebel News.

The European Union marches toward socialism

A few weeks ago, there were heated discussions in the European Union about the so-called “Taxonomy” rule. This will give the EU Commission and other European authorities the power to determine which investments are good (i.e., green and sustainable) and which are not.

The classifications issued in Brussels would then steer investors’ money in the “right” direction. The main bone of contention was whether nuclear energy and natural gas should also be deemed “sustainable.” The French and the Eastern Europeans were in favor, but the Germans opposed.

Now, the EU Commission led by Ursula von der Leyen has proposed a new idea: European politicians are again focusing on “social sustainability.” And again, companies are to be classified. Except this time, it will not be according to environmental aspects but rather to a catalog of “social” criteria.

If politicians and civil servants feel a company is not paying its employees the “right” wages, they can classify that business as harmful to society. For example, if EU politicians feel members of the board of directors are earning too much compared to an average employee, this would be interpreted as another indication of social perniciousness. If politicians and officials believe the rents a real estate company charges should be lower, there is a risk the company would be classified as detrimental to society.

Whether companies serve the “public interest” will then be decided by political committees, not the market. Lobbyists will likely be delighted because they now have a whole new area of business: convincing politicians why their company is “socially beneficial.”

Of course, none of this has anything at all in common with a market economy.

I saw Maxime Bernier and let's hope he continues to grow the party.

In the meantime.....

The Maru poll, which was conducted from Feb. 9 to 10, found that only 16 per cent of Canadians would vote for Trudeau based on his actions of the last two weeks. By politicizing the Covid crisis, the Trudeau government has thrown fuel on the fire. https://t.co/r5u1vp4zH0— Senator Leo Housakos (@SenatorHousakos) February 14, 2022

Will the fascist psychopath declare war on peaceful Canadians or will he de-escalate and end the crisis?— Maxime Bernier (@MaximeBernier) February 14, 2022

Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has learned that Prime Minister Trudeau “will inform the provinces he will invoke the Emergencies Act to give the government extra powers to deal with the protests across the country. But in a meeting with the Liberal caucus, the PM said there were no plans to deploy the military.”

The move follows a meeting Sunday of the federal cabinet and its Incident Response Group (IRG).

Trudeau tweeted late Sunday that the IRG discussed “further actions the government can take to help end the blockades and occupations.”

Earlier that day, Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair told CBC’s Rosemary Barton Live that the federal government has discussed invoking special emergency powers to deal with ongoing protests in Ottawa.

Blair described the attitude around invoking the Emergencies Act as “appropriate caution” rather than “reticence.”

As CBC concludes, the law gives the federal government carte blanche to cope with a crisis, including the ability to enact emergency powers that allow it to prohibit travel within a specified area or remove personal property, while imposing fines or jail time on people contravening new orders.

“The classifications issued in Brussels would then steer investors’ money in the “right” direction.”

What in the world would this have to do with a company’s profits? I see a lot of people losing money this way.

Or am I thinking about it wrong? A green company’s stock would go up because of the money pouring in. However the company is likely not to be profitable if it follows the green and social rules. I guess if investors money keeps pouring in that would keep it afloat? I’m getting myself confused

It has nothing to do with profits or the market. It is socialism, I’d call it fascism.

I think Trudeau is going to crack down on all Canadians & blame the truckers to try to turn the Canadians against the truckers.

Hey Ms B i am certainly surviving life in my van which is my RV. It would’ve been nice to have more room but it’s also nice to have better gas mileage with the current cost of gas. I’m plenty warm it was 25° in the van last night but I woke up sweating wet in the sleeping bag I recommend everyone get one of those for just in case or to keep in your car for travel etc.

I surely hope you’re able to escape the claws of these people controlling you and it probably goes way above their heads. Unless you’re positively absolutely need the money I would just not go in tell them to call you if they want you with all restrictions and tests and mandates are lifted. I bet you could find some home daycare with somebody maybe three times a week which would possibly pay more than you’re getting now.

My friend who worked 30 years in a nursing home is a nurses aide and retired is now doing just that she has three elderly people that she sees on staggered days and she’s paid $120 a day. She is not paid or considered a nurse but she is considered a companion having the nursing skills on her résumé helped her. She did not want to demanding every day job in an institution. She takes them shopping if they want to go does their meals I think they’re 8 to 10 hour shifts. one of her patients or people under her care is 99 years old and still gets out and about and works in the yard. She only is paid in cash

That first picture of the jet is basically what I saw out my window headed right at the plane I was on leaving LA. Our pilot dropped 1000’s of feet so fast to keep it from hitting us.

I don’t fly because it scared the holy s*it out of me.

Is This the Chinese Military’s Greatest Weakness?

First, the title should be changed to "WHICH IS the Chinese..." , then leave the viewer with a chance to rank the weaknesses plus add some that haven't been discussed.

My personal first choice (as an instructor-type) is that ghastly conscript system. Right after that....well, I've already called out the Chinese Junk manufacturing system enough to make that an obvious choice.

I'm not saying a war with the Chinese or anybody else is anything but [BLEEP].

If there IS a war I've gotta go do, I'd sure rather do it with my Navy.

Wouldn't get me to go with the Chinese at gunpoint. LOTS of gunpoints, that is.
