Mobile home renovation/NH slide...
So for those following along I’ve been renovating a mobile home on 31 acres in NH I purchased last year. The two bedrooms have been gutted. 1st bedroom has been reinsulated, vapor barriered and drywalled. The 1st bedroom is getting a cedar ceiling, which is now 3/4 done. It just needs window trim, new flooring, baseboards, a bi-fold door for the closet and a custom door frame and new door.
The 2nd bedroom got all new insulation, vapor barriered and just got drywalled (including the ceiling). Next step is some floor repair, paint, then the same new flooring, baseboards, a bi-fold door for the closet and a custom door frame and new door. All electrical is getting stainless steel face plates.
Then comes the bathroom and plumbing!
The exterior. All metal sheathing will be removed. Underneath will be done with two layers of concrete blocks. Then it will be sheathed with thin plywood, Tyvek, then cedar log siding so it will look like a log cabin. You won’t even know it was a mobile home one I’m done with it. It already has a new roof structure and forest green metal roofing so this will look amazing.
Renovations will take a break right now while I make ATV trails and burn the five huge brush piles the last owner accumulated. Once done I’ll be back at it!
