They made money because they spent way less in normal care in 2020 and 2021. Less or minimal elective surgeries, in 2020 and 2021 less people were traveling-less car accidents etc. Events canceled where people would get hurt. People holding off seeing a doctor because they did not have the money during shutdowns etc.

uum you do know the federal gov’t pays for all the vaccines not the insurance co’s? ..and at the beginning of the pandemic the insurance co’s lobbied the gov’t so they would not have pay for the vaccines.
Do you know how insurance works? They make money off of premiums and paying out as little as possible. They do not buy the meds and resell them.

Pfizer, and Moderna are Publicly owned and traded on the open exchange.
Many people own shares in those Companies, even many that are unaware their 401K has infested in Pfizer or Moderna or even both.
The general public own Pfizer and if Pfizer does well, the general public which includes people here that hold shares in a Mutual Fund or 401K are the ones benefiting.
I read once someone actually believing that the CEO of Pfizer was making millions off the vaccines. Personally and solely profiting.
