They made money because they spent way less in normal care in 2020 and 2021. Less or minimal elective surgeries, in 2020 and 2021 less people were traveling-less car accidents etc. Events canceled where people would get hurt. People holding off seeing a doctor because they did not have the money during shutdowns etc.
