Yeah but how are you going to target twitter? There's no way to do it.

You just gonna change a bookmark? Twitter laughs at such nonsense.

Come on. There's no "how" here. Conversely:

Microsoft has market share that can be targeted. That's what makes them the most easy. It's all market share.

"They are extremely diverse - much more than just software.

That's fine. Let them retreat into Azure. If Microsoft only had Azure, I wouldn't be of the mindset that they're an easy target. That would be an extremely difficult target. It's not directly in our homes.

But most conservatives do have Microsoft in their houses. This is on us. We simply choose not to engage in the fight and let life pass us by and laugh at us.

And that's the thing. Targeting an advertiser, you're targeting Twitter too. And Facebook. It really literally is two birds with one stone.

I disagree with your assessment. A million conservatives could quit using Microsoft, and it would be a tiny dent. The corporation is huge and diversified. I applaud your enthusiasm, but I think it won’t work. I don’t have Microsoft Office on my home PC, but I do for my work. That’s all I can control.

I know. Just leaving a platform this way doesn’t do much. Just changing a bookmark is kind of a joke.

It’s clear that they want us gone. So that’s not a punishment. That’s something they celebrate.

We need to find something they actually hold as near and dear.

Look folks, despite the Marxist sympthizers out there, we still have the first amendment and a free market.

We don’t need any one single platform to listen to whoever we want to listen to or read from.

No Twitter? Gab and Parler are there.

No Youtube? Rumble, Bitchute, Odysee and others are there.

No GoFundMe? GiveSendGo is there.

I’m sure there are other platforms that will be willing to host Joe Rogan.

Exercise your free market choice while you still have it!

Don’t forget to account for the big 3 in cloud (Google, Microsoft, and Amazon).

That’s been the siren’s call (and doom) for some of the new-media startups — “oh I can start up and scale, watch me launch and grow and oh oops I’ve just been told that unless I institute ‘fact-checking’ and banning mirroring YT and Twitter my whole enterprise, running on Someone Else’s Servers (which is cloud in a nutshell) will be taken down.”

I think maybe you’re missing the other forest. Microsoft, Amazon, and Google (in that order) comprise the lion’s share of cloud markets across the globe. That means that “hurting their market share” involves almost every business larger than 100 employees deplatforming themselves from their cloud provider. That’s just not gonna happen.

You can hurt Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc. by refusing to patronize their advertisers. The three of them exist almost solely due to advertising revenue, Amazon’s web sales notwithstanding.

Attempting to “hurt” Microsoft would involve more than just using Linux. I would argue that if every home user in the world dropped Windows for Linux, Microsoft’s stock would dip less than $1, if even that. Operating systems don’t account for much of anything in the big tech ecosystem anymore. Think bigger.

First terminology is important. Let’s “pro-activate” this. We need to actually get pro-active in mass.

I have thought about this for years now. First a serious target and example of organized strength and resolve in numbers that really matter needs to be made. The biggest statement I could come up with is shut down and boycott the internet for a week straight or more. No purchases, no banking, no platform support, No add revenue, nothing.

Since the medium and shackles they are enslaving us with is the internet, a serious blow to this tool of addiction and mind control would go a long ways towards showing that we do indeed have the strength to say no to the addiction. “What about conservative sites?”, Drop the greed and take a hit for the team, the rewards after will be 20 fold. A mass vacation per say.

Then as you say target Microsoft and go all in. There are support groups everywhere to help make this happen. Next hit the banks one at a time starting with Chase, Actually make an effort to go and shut accounts and refinance everything elsewhere.

By the time we get to this point the hits on the stock market will speak for themselves and they will start to serious pay attention. Then organize and start picking one new target every quarter and seriously concentrate mass boycotting at these one at a time. NBA, NFL, NASCAR, Etc.

They will get so gunshy they will be dreading that their name might appear in the list. Just having their name appear on the list as a target will crash their stocks. Why? because they will absolutely have no doubt that we can and will do it with all seriousness and effect.

Follow timeline of Bongino leaving You Tube. I n morning he uploads you tube file stating “ I quit You Tube.” In afternoon You Tube says “ Bongino permanently banned from You Tube” Kind of hard to banned someone who quit your channel earlier in day.

“so everyone on this site sign up for Spotify premium”

Now that is an excellent idea... Throw some money their way and make a serious point we support them. And not here, spread it everywhere. I’m all in... Let’s put our money where our mouth is. :)

Microsoft’s value is closing on $2 Trillion.

MS surpassed 2 trillion a while ago. Their market cap is now at $2.31 trilion.

BFD.

Shares of Neil Young, Fauci and Biden are in the toilet.

Microsoft has a huge services and consulting division.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/msservices/?activetab=pivot1%3aprimaryr5

Contracts with large corporations and governments. Untouchable.

Did I mention that their value is closing on $2 Trillion? Bigger than the economy of most countries?

Spotify has been sluggish for a year on Covid and slow sales growth.....less than projected

Only lesson here is don’t panic selll

Personal OS market. Hit them hard enough two things will happen. New PC manufactures will start offering Linux as a factory OS option, and MS stocks will take a huge hit. It will remind them that all the little guys are their bread and butter.

People here couldn’t even sacrifice not using Amazon OR Twitter, GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK!! When Amazon took the servers down for Parler I closed my account and NEVER LOOKED BACK!! I was an Amazon junkie that truck was at my house every damn day!! If we can’t make the sacrifices WE NEED to make the left will ALWAYS WIN!! We do EXACTLY the same damn when voting we know how Graham, McConnell and the rest stab us in the back repeatedly YET we keep voting the, back into office, you know the lesser of two evil YET they are NOT nor have they EVER BEEN the lesser of two evil!! If we can’t sacrifice ONE senate term to the Dem to rid ourselves of these backstabbing bastards we get what we deserve! Instead of focusing on a Dem seat we could POSSIBLY turn in another state it is just EASIER to keep the backstabbing asshats!
