“really close, 4,000 light years away.” Still way beyond the capacity of any mechanical or biological entity from there coming here. Of course if there really exists a purported conveniently located “wormhole”, perhaps there may be some visitors. More likely it would take 4,000 years for our radio waves to reach them and then another 4,000 years for their initial responses to reach us. 4,000 light years is an enormous, inconceivable actual distance. Its amusing to speculate about superhighway wormholes traversing the universe but alas there is no experimental proof that any exist.
