SLIDE (apologies):

FReeQs, I’ve just been booked for a colonoscopy (four years in the lineup but, hey, at least Canadian healthcare is free, eh?) and am nervous that they’ll try to slip a vax into me. Any advice on how to ensure they don’t other than not going? I do want the procedure because of an apparent blockage in my intestine for several months, but I don’t trust these folks not to try slipping me a Mickey.

Any advice would be very much appreciated and thanks in advance. Maybe PM me so we don’t move the blockage from my gut to the brand new Q thread.

Personally I would have to think about going to the hospital right now if I broken my leg.
The only way is after you wake up. "is your butt cheek sore or arm sore?"
If so you have to assume the worst.

Maybe put it in writing on the letterhead of a lawyer that you do not grant permission to be jabbed during any part of the procedure. Do not put it past them to jab you and SAY you gave your permission while you were only semi-conscious. Keep a copy taped to your chart. In the letter, threaten a lawsuit for $5 million (pick a number) and their implicit acceptance of this payment to you if they jab you.

Have a T-shirt made that says; “I will kill you if you vax me”.

Don’t want to get into your details but a couple things come to mind. If you do a standard prep for the colonoscopy then any blockage will be gone. If the “block” is an external constriction of some sort the scope isn’t going to see it. A CAT scan might be more appropriate for something external to the GI tract. There’s more.

As to the VAX. Ask for minimal anesthesia. Local might be appropriate then you will be aware. Then be sure to know what your arm skin looks like before the procedure. Take a few pics if you can. Then be sure to tell the work crew “NO VAX.” Good luck with your test results.

I don’t know exactly what you are looking for but maybe you could try Colonguard instead. It’s an at home test, so no surprise vax.
