I agree. His stint as host of Family Feud was probably the low point for the show. Louie seemed like he was just going through the motions, the set was cheesy (looked like it was filmed in somebody's basement), and almost no music - just a quick couple of beats on a drum every now and then.
If he was, he kept to himself about it. His Wikipedia entry only states he was married to his high school sweetheart for four weeks and that someone blackmailed him about supposedly propositioning the guy in a casino.

Oooh people being able to live their lives how they choose. How awful. The funny part about your crowd is you’re always the ones insisting “they” are going to outlaw “you”, while you desperately want to outlaw everybody else. Really whatever Louie’s preference was he never advertised it, he never talked about it, so how about you show him the same level of respect he showed you and leave him alone. At least he wasn’t the “out” kind of homosexual that throws it in everyone’s face 24/7. I can respect that with a measured amount of respect. He didn’t disparage marriage by mocking it with another man. More points for him.
The thing about this “crowd” isn’t that we aren’t criticizing the homosexual lifestyle for no good reason. God forbade that; argue with Him if you have a problem with His laws.
Some things fall into grey areas; some are black vs white, i.e., wrong vs right. Homosexuality is wrong.
It’s not a silly issue of dancing or not. It’s an issue of committing actual sin, whether or not they advertise or talk about it.
Sodomy is sick and deviant, but there’s a lot of sick and deviant in this world.
I don’t hate the gay guy, but I loathe and despise the gay political agenda. I agree that not pushing the oxymoron “gay rights” BS was in his favor. I hope he knew Jesus before he died.
And before I get flames thrown at me, there’s a lot of born again gay guys who are saved by grace not works and will be in heaven. I’ve worked with a few of them. All born-again Christians are under the New Covenant of grace by which righteousness is a gift to be received by grace not a work to be earned.
Queer Christians are similar to Lot (who was not on record as a sodomite). Sodomite Christians are those who are walking after the flesh causing them to be defeated righteous men as Lot was.
No we have someone who comprehends somebody’s life is THEIR business. IF Louie Anderson was gay he never pushed it, was not part of any “homofascism” he was just living his life. And for you to condemn him for something you DON’T EVEN KNOW is just you being an ass.

Where did I condemn Louie Anderson in my comment? I actually said that if he were a homosexual he kept it to himself, which is admirable.
It was very late in life when I learned that Van Cliburn was a homosexual. And I grew up in his home town. He did not ONCE advertise, boast, or advocate for this condition. On this you and I can agree: if they do make it none of anyones business, I can respect that.
