Legendary rock singer Meat Loaf has died, according to an announcement posted on his official Facebook page. He was 74.
“Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side,” the post said. “Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours.”
Born Marvin Lee Aday in Dallas, Texas in 1947, Meat Loaf began acting and singing in school productions. He moved to Los Angeles after his mother’s death in 1965.

Saddened to learn of this, he was a great talent. As an aside back in the vietnam era I bought an 8-track of his.
Oh he did. Had to go to hospital for rabies shots. He said he would be asked about it until he died..and then they would dig him up and still ask about it

Incorrect--managers and lawyers sued each other--they never stopped being friends, and actually collaborated on an album during one of the lawsuit incidents. Managers were not happy when they discovered that.
Meatloaf once told a story that he picked up a hitchhiker and they went to Brian Wilson’s house. The hitchhiker was Charles Manson.
