No. Must have missed that, but caught most of your state. Worked on Swan Island at Frieghtliner / Mercedes Benz. Downtown Portland was pretty nice also. Keep Portland Weird I believe was the city motto. 92-94.

Portland and Eugene used to be nice cities.

Ya. Not for the good either.
What comes around, goes around. Detroit has made big moves towards the positive over the last 5 years. However it took a LONG time.

A lot of bulldozing and starting over, from what I hear.

Yes. Definitely.
I had been working out of state for @ 6 years, and when I came home in 2020 friends, and family mentioned I should check out the city.
Definitely different in a good way, and this time they are building new townhouse, and apartments. Much work still needs to be done but I like the direction.

I honestly can’t wait for Cascadia to unzip.

The only real tragedy will be that FReepers will end up paying into pockets responsible for the disastrous damage.

Harbors and marinas get hammered by a 3’ surge. Get caught on a short beach with rock cliffs when a 3’ surge hits and you’ll be washed out to sea.
