Thank you for saying that about Being There. I saw it in the 1990’s on TV and couldn’t understand why everyone made such a fuss about it. I realized then that I had no appreciation for cinematic “art” and stopped going to movies, except when I had a craving for overpriced theatre popcorn or I was taking a bunch of kids to a movie.
Wasn’t Forrest Gump the same kind of movie - one where the protagonist is held up by the world as a genius when he can barely get his shoes on the right feet? I didn’t see that one either. Maybe both movies were intended to be previews of the current pResident.
AshliBabbitt desperately tried to prevent rioters from vandalizing the doors leading to the Speaker’s Lobby at the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, even stepping between a troublemaker and #Police officers guarding the doors, according to video analysis.
If true, she was shot because she was trying to STOP Antifa.

The DH likes to periodically tee up on the TV movies he thinks we would like. Unfortunately, he is taken in by how many Oscars and such a movie gets. That stupid movie was one such and a waste of time. Saw “Forrest Gump” at the movie theater. Don’t know why. Another waste of my time.
We usually average a movie-theater movie about once every 5 years. Most just do not interest us.
I am a miserable failure in a trivia game if the subject is movies, TV, or celebrities.
Don't misunderstand why I posted that. I didn't care for the movie either, but our current inept Vice President is as stupid and verbally twisted as Chance the Gardener and even more stupid than the movie itself.
