Yes, I agree, both teams played to the best of their ability with the personnel they had on the field. Would UGA have been better with JT Daniels at QB? Maybe. Would UGA have beaten Alabama in the SEC championship game if JT had played instead of Bennett? Maybe. Would Alabama have been better with Jameson and Metchie on the field? Probably.

Look, I'm not trying to take anything away from UGA - I watched them all season, and I think they have a great team. Dominant on defense, explosive on offense. They played a great game last night, particularly on defense, made several really great plays, and are legitimately national champions.

Sorry, not believing that, considering two teams from the same conference, one can be conference champion, and the other can be national champion.

Where is the integration? In reality there are no national college playoffs. It’s simply a media show. The teams are selected by the media to risk life and limb for glorification of a bunch of spoiled talking heads.

Doesn’t matter

The game was played. Georgia won

Glad Georgia won and happy for Bennett- but lets be serious- players like Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt choosing to return to school rather than opt for the NFL had a much larger impact on UGA winning the title.

Reminiscent of Clellin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence surprising everyone and returning to Clemson for one more season to win a national title- which they did.

btw- turning point of the game was when Jameson Williams went down with the knee injury early. He makes a lot of those catches the Bama receivers were dropping in the second half.

“The true test of a college Q B’s talent is what kind of NFL record he can muster. I would challenge that this one will be a big fat nothing. Donning flame retardant suit now.”

It’s not always about going to the NFL. Bennett maximized his accomplishment given his physical tools. The Buckeyes won in 2002 with Craig Krenzel as QB. Krenzel was gritty, with modest talent. After the game, no one cared how good Krenzel would be.

Doesn’t matter what does or doesn’t lie ahead in Bennett’s athletic career. Bennett hung in there, made it from walk on to starting QB for a major college team, (impressive enough on it’s own). Today, he is QB of the national championship UGA ‘dogs. Good for him. Good for UGA.

He’s a great, but there is no “national championship” per se. It’s based on polls and votes. That’s just a fact. This national champ thing is another TV and Obama creation.

Don’t go there. The walk-on beat the Heisman winner.

Get off the “what if’s and would it’s!” No bearing on the actual outcome.

Some sports guy on the radio said the other conferences should be able to put together an all-star team...to play against the _____ SEC team for the championship.

I think the important part was that they played as a team. I seem to get the story from multiple sites that they were all invested in this game, but that Stetson was determined to not let Bama win again! Were there possibilities that GA would’ve lost if the 2 Bama players were on the field that game? Maybe. Maybe not. Just because you have more great players than other teams doesn’t mean you win them all. Proud of GA for the win. You know that the intimidation factor had to play in their minds, but they played to win...and they did! KUDOS!

During all the talk about adding additional play-off games, as many as 16 have been mentioned, I heard a guy say that what will happen is SEC teams will be playing each other.
