It isn’t hardiness. It’s foolishness! It has been in the -25 to -30 C here in Calgary for the past couple of weeks, with a Chinook break over the weekend, and I haven’t left the house except when necessary. It sucks!
In the last year or so, we were in a sort of discussion, and my Son said to his older Sister, ‘Don’t you remember what Pop always told us?’
It was strange coming back to me that way. He was talking about things which I was attempting to teach them when they were very young. It was so long ago, and he remembered.
They were listening back then, and I felt so good inside, while simultaneously I was in a bit of turmoil because I had better hopes for this world, by these days.
Your experience seems to parallel my own.

Better off heading to the Fire Station and have them test you if you are getting consistent readings below 92%. After all, the Fire Department works for you, and they have the equipment. They can provide supplemental O2 as well.
The Fire House universally has ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) trained and qualified personnel. Usually free parking too.
You can go to the ER, and they will stick a nasal cannula on you, and everyone else, then have you sit around for hours, unless you are a bloody mess or are in cardiac arrest.

Problem is, he seems more like the drive-by kinda guy. His mom is probably pretty tired of him using her car, though. Never fills it up.

An O2 Concentrator will only provide a few LPM. Maybe the new ones have more Oomph. I do not know, but for years the limits were 2-3 Liters Per Minute. For requirements of FIO2s of 100% or more, these persons need a 50 PSI delivery system. That requires big tanks or LOX, not tenable (need a better word) for most households.
