Look at baseball in the US, with Little League funneling to the various levels of minor leagues.
Exactly. Refusing to play so they can be a better player. A loser mentality.
Wake Forest and Old Miss. lost players in their Bowl games. Mixed feeling about this. A+ for loyalty to team mates, but risked future with possible career ending injuries.
You will get more sit outs. Again, even choosing 4 teams show how difficult it is to get good, even matches. I would be more radical. Start a trade school for athletes. Rudimentary liberal studies...12th grade apc level...a profitable trade...and pro level sports development environment. These players could play against other schools or even pro teams and still go to school.
The educational hypocrisy of the so called major schools is too obvious.
Problem is that they don't get a top quality education.
They may get a degree that will allow them to be a PE teacher at some public school and that is about the most they get.
It they don't get injured.
If they do they will have a hard time getting any job that will cover their medical bills.
There should be a total separation of school and sports.
I think the best scenario is 53/54 in senate and 250 in the house. You are definitely way too conservative in the house. IF we get a +13% swing in preference for generic R/D congress, it could even be higher than that.
It makes no sense to risk a 2-5% chance of serious injury and losing a $10 to $100 million NFL career for what are increasingly over the years becoming pointless games. Only a handful of bowls mean anything at this point.
Heck, I would limit it to basic finances, econ 101 and basic investing. If these guys get their dream they need the ability to have some money after they retire. Most of them get ripped off by their agents & business agents.
Eh, the other side of that coin is a serious injury costing then a ~$40-50 million career would make them a bigger loser than skipping out on what are increasingly meaningless bowl games. Its not like basketball where your risk of serious injury is much much lower.

However in today’s business world, at least at Nikes level,
there seems to be an over abundace of woke CEOs more
interested in one world communist government and their
corporation virtue signalling than actually making business
decisions, as long as they’re virtue signalling makes the
USA look bad and communist China look good. So they’re
amoral, communists and traitors. US corporations are now run
mostly by CEOs who hate capitalism and individual freedom
for the masses.

Ultimately they lose by skipping games. People won’t care about their game more than they do themselves.
Bowl games are supposed to be fun and a reward to the players for a successful season. It’s a real treat for a players to go to either Florida or California. Play football then hit up the beach afterwards.
I think they’ll sleep just fine missing things like the “Mayo” bowl. They are already whoring themselves for effectively nothing for multi billion colleges.

Sports players, who won’t play sports. How about in the NFL, players who start to refuse to play in games against easier opponents so they can avoid injuries.
However you slice it, they are unsportsmanlike. Just like Simone Biles he quitter.
They aren’t playing for anything, which is the point. No one cares about bowl games anymore. Not the same as playing for gold. If players drop out of the bcs playoffs then I’d agree.
In the NFL, coaches will often keep their star players on the bench and send out the second string if victory looks certain, to avoid risking injury to a highly paid player.
NCAAF will go the way of the dodo.
Fine by me.
