Brrrrr! That kind of temperature isn’t in my vocabulary! Stay warm!

Thank you. We’re trying to stay warm and I (an immigrant) thank God all the time for the blessings of liberty and all the things it fosters - leisure time, energy security, food abundance, ..... Many days, I feel like I’ve won the lottery. Easter Sunday and for about 4 weeks after, I feel like an heiress.

There is 1 upside to these ridiculous temperatures and that is that food freezes very quickly, so quickly, than I can free liquid-y things in freezer bags or even sandwich bags. In an hour, I have frozen, (almost) flat ‘sheets’ of food that I can stack in the freezer without bothering to find appropriate containers, which would otherwise be a quandry. Gotta look on the upside, right?
