medicare classes covid with other respiratory diseases re: coding. A higher rate is paid if the patient is intubated more than 96 hours. Since intubation equipment is limited and, there’s a line out the door for that equipment, doctors intubating patients on a lark for 20K more for their hospital is highly unlikely and a really obnoxious accusation to be made against them.

“An analysis by the Kaiser Family Foundation looked at average Medicare payments for hospital admissions for the existing diagnosis-related groups and noted that the “average Medicare payment for respiratory infections and inflammations with major comorbidities or complications in 2017 … was $13,297. For more severe hospitalizations, we use the average Medicare payment for a respiratory system diagnosis with ventilator support for greater than 96 hours, which was $40,218.”

according to Futurity.com:

” Kaiser Family Foundation analyzed the status of waivers from the two largest insurers in each state and found that 72% had ended their waivers for COVID-19 hospitalizations by August 2021.” “...among the few patients who did have to pay for hospital services— a sign that a waiver wasn’t in place—out-of-pocket costs were in the thousands of dollars.”

That is, if you don’t have employer insurance and they don’t waive your expenses, and you don’t qualify for medicare or welfare, you’re going to get hit in the wallet for a hospital stay.

Once upon a time, there were a few types of businesses that we all knew were untrustworthy. Used car salesmen, roofing contractors, the Earl Scheib paint & body shop etc. Now it’s all of them. I think a lot of it had to do with opening trade with china and the advent of walmart. It became all about the Benjamins from top to bottom. Prior to that, a lot of business people had pride in supplying a good product. We’ve all had to get used to an official quality level of junk, knowing that profits behind that junk were huge. Everyone knows it costs $20 to make that $600 phone. Everyone wants in on that kind of profit level.

Even discounting physical goods, managers want the least amount of work for the highest pay. Assistant manager has become one of the worst jobs you can have because of that. The manager blames all bad things on the Asst, places most of the work on the Asst but takes all the credit.

We’ve become a very cutthroat society. Losing our religion has a lot to do with that too. Gotta keep up with the Jones’. Consumerism is everything. He who dies with the most toys wins. Social media hasn’t helped as it became a place to show people how good your life is. I quit fb because all I saw was my family and old friends showing off their lifestyle. So pathetic and vain.

sure they are. Name one vaccine ever invented that prevents all symptoms every time if given to 9 billion people of different ethnicities and ages at the same time with differing innate immunity levels.

And for the millionth time, contrary to what the pandemic profiteers, frauds, lairs and hucksters say about the covid vaccine not being a vaccine, measles and german measles are not 100% effiacy, neither is TB. At 88^ efficacy, is pertussis vaccine not a vaccine? Is a rubella vaccine not a vaccine at 90% ?

WITH C19, not because of. I’ve heard several doctor interviews, including Fauci, who said any kid admitted to the hospital for appendicitis, broken leg, ER - needs stitches, etc. is C19 tested. If they come up positive at/in the hospital for something totally different, they are counted as C19. The big push is to get kids vaxed ... if they can get the vaxes on the CDC’s list of ‘must have’ vaxes for kids, Big Pharma will get complete immunity from liability, so that is the push/plan.

Agreed. I bought my cell phone used for probably only about half of what it cost brand new. A lot of my DVD or music collection was bought used as well, so I do not directly put money in the pockets of the CCP or Hollywood, etc as you would if you bought brand new.

"With," not because of. That distinction is not likely to be made by covid-phobic media, as what will qualify as a Covid-19 positive case is those who went to a hospital for something entirely unrelated to that virus, but who tested positive as a result of routine testing. And which Dr. Fauci affirmed results in over counting of cases: "What we mean by that is that if a child goes in the hospital they automatically get tested for COVID and they get counted as a COVID hospitalized individual, when in fact they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that." "So it's over counting the number of children who are 'hospitalized' with COVID as opposed to because of COVID."

Note that the CDC states people can continue to test positive for COVID-19 for up to 3 months after diagnosis,” for as the CDC further affirms, “patients who have recovered from COVID-19 can continue to have detectable SARS-CoV-2 RNA in upper respiratory specimens for up to 3 months after illness onset. after being infected,” which is long after they were infectious. Yet for some time the CDC was conflating viral and antibody tests, combining test results that diagnose current coronavirus infections with test results that measure whether someone has ever had the virus.

Yea I’m familiar with how transmissible it is. However, that does not explain why there are so many hospitalizations for an upper respiratory infection.

That Fauci video alone should get him fired (at minimum). That has been what we have been saying for close to 2 years. Smh.

Btw Dr McCullough just released a video (part 1 of 2 ) on Epoch Times. It’s very good.

This person should lose their medical license at a minimum:

Video: NY health commissioner admits using overblown claims about child COVID hospitalizations to scare parents into vaccinating their kids
https://whitehousewire.com/2021/12/30/video-ny-health-commissioner-admits-using-overblown-claims-about-child-covid-hospitalizations-to-scare-parents-into-vaccinating-their-kids-2/

New York’s acting health commissioner, Dr. Mary Bassett, openly admitted this week to misleading people about an “upward trend” in child COVID-19 hospitalizations in order to “motivate” parents to get their children vaccinated.

What are the details?

Last Friday, the state health department issued a health alert notifying pediatricians of a concerning trend — hospitalizations among children with COVID-19 were up across the state and had quadrupled in the New York City area. No official numbers were given.

The news quickly garnered attention in the state, worrying parents about their children’s safety amid the surge of the new Omicron variant. Only it turns out the number of children hospitalized with the virus at the time was relatively low and the numbers were deceptively framed in order to encourage vaccinations.

In a press conference Monday alongside Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, Bassett — who came down with the virus last week despite being fully vaccinated against it — effectively acknowledged that the state health department’s misleadingly framed the numbers to scare parents.

“The numbers that we gave on pediatric admissions weren’t intended to make it seem that children were having an epidemic of infection, these were small numbers,” Bassett admitted regarding the alert. “That was based on 50 hospitalizations, and I’ve now given you some larger numbers, but they’re still small numbers.”

“It really was to motivate pediatricians and families to seek the protection of vaccination,” she then stated.

“Many people continue to think that children do not become infected with COVID. This is not true,” Bassett continued. “Children become infected with COVID and some will become hospitalized. The vaccination coverage remains too low.”

“We need to get child vaccinations up, particularly in the 5-to-11-year-old age group,” she argued.
What else?

Using blatant scare tactics to encourage people towards a specific action is bad enough, but it’s made worse by the possibility that the supposedly concerning numbers were artificially inflated.

In a report about the uptick published Tuesday, NBC News noted that the larger numbers of hospitalizations likely include asymptomatic children brought to the hospital for reasons other than infection with the virus.

Dr. Paul Offit, a vaccine expert at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, told NBC his hospital had seen many kids test positive for the virus recently who hadn’t shown symptoms or come in with a sickness.

“We test anybody who’s admitted to the hospital for whatever reason to see whether or not they have COVID, and we’re definitely seeing an increase in cases. However, we’re really not seeing an increase in children who are hospitalized for COVID or in the intensive care unit for COVID,” Offit said.

Offit’s explanation is backed up by Department of Health and Human Services policy. NBC News noted that hospital patients are counted as COVID-19 hospitalizations even if they were not originally admitted to the hospital for that reason so long as they are suspected of having the disease or display a laboratory-confirmed positive for the disease.

“Thousands and thousands of people are hospitalized every day for accidents and injuries or routine surgeries, now suddenly every kid with sniffles is a Covid casualty — and the hospitals make more money from each admission that way.

But not suddenly, actually, we’ve been gaslighted since day one of MSM coverage.”

Yep, if they cut off the bonus funding for Covid patients it will suddenly be cured overnight...

“You understand the part where you vaxxpimps DON’T get to quack about “overwhelmed hospitals”, when vaxxpimping CAUSED the overwhelming by firing competent staff, right?”

What you share is the chain of “cause and effect”. Very few have the intelligence to trace back to the root cause. Let alone admit it once exposed as the true root cause.

Those do not exist anymore... They have all been cured by Covid. One of my daughters is a nurse at a pediatrics clinic attached to a major hospital. Administration policy makes them test every patient for covid symptoms or not. If they test negative but have ANY symptoms of cold or flu or RSV policy is to test again, if still negative they are required to test a third time. They are fishing like crazy for a false positive.
