Those are great!!
So true, all.
So glad you and Dolly had a good visit. Did you meet for lunch?
I worry about her driving the highways/biways in this weather, but, as we know….she’s tough!
Lived all of that and survived.
Thanks for the memories.
Those are all good and so true!
These are so funny.... and sadly gone. . I do remember.
Those memories of the past were really funny cotton thank you.
A broken ribs. My experience with broken ribs started in my 40s and till now I’ve had broken ribs seven times. The early years were things like falling off a bike trying to get into a motor boat. Stumbling during a hike. My last break was November of last year when I came down to North Carolina. I was reaching over my car seat putting my weight of my body on it and I heard the distinctive snap and felt the distinctive pain.
With the osteoporosis most women experience broken ribs can be more common in later years occurring even during a heavy coughing episode. Everything I’ve read also advises against wrapping up the broken rib area. Even wearing A bra is painful.
After the first couple breaks I never went to the doctor again. I knew the routine. Basically painkiller as needed. Wait eight weeks the pain will be gone. Experimenting with positions and sleeping and limiting physical activities can be challenging
I did enjoy our lunch time together I’m sorry it had to be brief but I did want to return to North Carolina before it was dark. And I made it was just a few minutes to spare. It was a really beautiful trip through the mountains with all the TVA projects. Next time I’m up in that area I’ll need to check out your Amish Mennonite store. When I go to Ohio next month I’ll definitely be in Amish country a few days
Thanks. I love those. I will be emailing to family and friend.
