Those 28% are probably the elites and the satisfied to be dependent on the government, whether through welfare or special deals. The Republican Party, at least the MAGA part of the Republican Party, is the party of the private sector middle class and the working class. These are the people who the Democrats are trying to destroy.
If he’s all the Democrats have, that 28% might just want to see the demise of the party.
