Covid case count in Ohio in last 24 hours: 37K

21-Day average: 13K

Hospitalizations: 183 last 24 hours versus 310 last 21 days

ICU numbers: 17 versus 29

So the more we test, the less serious Covid becomes. Funny how that works.

The cynic in me says that there have been fewer hospitalizations because of staff taking time off for the holidays so the admittance of patients for the Covid bucks did not take place at the same levels. I’m talking about those particular patients who would have never been admitted to the hospital two years ago this time for the flu but who have formed perhaps a quarter or more of all Covid hospitalizations.

I have a bunch of Cleveland people at work and their families who are sick with something NOT COVID. Sounds like a rhinovirus to me. Get used to it, it’s going to get worse. ADE is happening right in front of us.
