It is not an appeal to authority. It is using a definition. It is understanding qualifications. There are authorities that are appropriate. Authority is based on expertise and knowledge. This RN has not been educated in the fields that lead to the ability to diagnose. This the fallacy is accepting his opinion as anything but that. Opinion.

Clearly, you have no clue what an appeal to authority actually is. Because even your explanation is a textbook case of an appeal to authority. In any event, your poor track-record on this issue on FR is enough to make anyone doubt your authority.

This RN has not been educated in the fields that lead to the ability to diagnose. Hate to break it to ya, gassie, but educated observations are not diagnoses. So let's just put that particular strawman/diversion to bed, shall we?
You can have your precious 'power to diagnose'. And just to make me happy, when did this nurse 'diagnose' anyway?
