No a nurse can read a chart. However a nurse may not make a diagnosis (it’s called scope of care). This RN has engaged in post hoc ergo propter hoc.
Additionally the definition of a whistle blower is someone with affirmative knowledge of fraud or wrong doing. It is a term very often abused recently. To lend credibility to nothing more than an opinion
The fact of the matter is the RN has opined something.
You know gas doc, I see your posts tend to attack and demean and insult. I would think, as a true doctor, you would politely try to educate with evidence and references. But because you do not do that here, is it fair to guess, you are just an anestheseologist who gets paid for gassing patients other, more broadly educated physicians diagnose and treat? Is insulting and demeaning just another type of gassing people? Hmmm?
I spent a whole lot of time in the hospital with my mom before she passed, I NEVER saw a doctor, the nurses took care of EVERYTHING, so please don’t tell me nurses don’t know enough!!!
“The scope of care” is just a word phrase for it is not in their job description. Like a roofer cannot diagnose a leak in the roof, but when the doctor tells them to build that roof and with what kind of roofing...... GET IT?
