Well I am glad you admit that diagnosis is beyond the scope of your practice. We agree.

What exactly are you a Dr of?

It's in his name...flatulence. He's a fart doctor. Gastrointestinal.
Or an anesthesiologist.

Just my guess.

The question should be: Are records being kept on whether or not the patients with these problems have been vaccinated, how many times, when, do they test positive for Covid, are are the number of patients with these problems out of line with ordinary times, etc.

If the medical professionals are not keeping accurate data on these things, then this is not science. It is mere speculation.

You anti vaccine folks are the biggest bullies. You make the far left cancel culture look like pikers if people do not follow your strict litmus test.

Look at Texas dept of heath stats over the last 6 months. You know the dept run by Abbott and Republicans and the stats show every month 80-85-90% of people dying each month in Texas are unvaccinated but no matter what stats you read you will not believe it

I have a pretty big circle of people I interact with. Many of them in the medical field. I know doctors and nurses who refuse to acknowledge what’s going on. I know others who do acknowledge it. At least privately.

I know more people who have died ‘mysteriously’ in the past 8 months of either heart attack, stroke, or brain bleed than I do who either had severe covid or died of it. Most people I know are similar in that regard. And we’re talking people all over the country, of all political persuasions, not just me and my cousins Larry and Darryl in some trailer park.

Maybe you’re not a shill. Maybe you just don’t get out a lot. Maybe you only interact with the lousy type of doctors and their arrogance, inability to do math, or understand basic logic has rubbed off on you and clouded your judgment.

Or maybe you’re full of beans. Hard to tell. I really don’t care. Time will tell. The other guy is the one whose sell-by date is long past.

...no one has refuted that diagnosis is not in the scope of a nurse...

Where has anybody contended that diagnosis is in the scope of a nurse?

Somebody came to a conclusion/gave their opinion with
the evidence they had on hand.
Your problem is you just don't like the opinion given.
Suck it up, buttercup.

True... it IS beyond our scope. BUT, when I call a doctor and say, “Doc, looks like a UTI. NKDA.” And I get told, “Start Cipro 500 BID x 7D. Oh, and Get a UA C/S when you can.”

It doesn’t take 7 years of school plus residency to know that malodorous, cloudy urine is likely a UTI. Nor does it take long to know what most Doc order for it.

The “does not diagnose” is a legal matter. Practically, we all diagnose every day, and our dx in not likely to differ much from yours.

Yeah, boo hoo for you. Yeah, us ‘bullies’ are so bad. I mean, we demand people take untested medications in order to work or eat at a restaurant...oh wait, no that’s not us...

Well, certainly, we demand that everyone in the medical profession carry our water or threaten their license...oh wait, nope...that’s not us either.

I could go on. Cry me a river. Wake up and smell what you’re shoveling.

Newly graduated ANYTHING are generally dangerous.... :) Especially nurses and doctors.

I wouldn’t bring 6mg of hydromorphone to anyone without an order... and certainly not to a narc-naive preop pt.

Doctors save lives (sometimes) and nurses save doctors (daily).

What does that even mean any more? You are considered "unvaccinated" if you don't have all of your shots and the boosters.
So, YEAH, there are a whole bunch of "unvaccinated" Texans.

So much for your "point".

I only insult and demean those who throw the first punch. I am insulted when people try to speak with expertise when they have none.
Xxxxxxxxx
First of all, you have no way of knowing usuaļly on FR whether a poster has expertise. We do not know but why you call yourself gas doctor is because you blow up balloons. Second , if you are an M.D. and a board certified a anesthesiologist, why not show a little evidence thereof and some enlightening information?

Frankly, you and Metmom both demonstrate way too much white coat narcissism. Maybe you both would do well to review Hippocrates or are you of the vintage that did not take that oath of the golden age of medicine?

Ha!! I work sometime in a very small Rural Hosp......We mostly have APRN's...on site

Many times in our ER...when someone is wheezing and breathing hard....I just start a breathing Tx on them.....And tell the provider what I did...they right the order later.

It refers to zero shots. Google the Texas stats. Texas Dept of Health.

It breaks down the results to unvaccinated, some shots and full vaccinations

The 80-85% who are dying have zero shots

There are nurses whom I trust to that level. I don’t disagree. This is a long way from a typical UTI. You see no fallacy and no problem with what this nurse has said? Be honest

‘’ “Actually I believe you are referring to work based off or directly from two very good texts written in the early 2000s....”

“Actually” I am referring to the text I cited. Here are others, telling that personnel of all sorts in the medical arena make mistakes. Fact.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4928391/

:Study Suggests Medical Errors Now Third Leading Cause of Death in the U.S.”

https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/media/releases/study_suggests_medical_errors_now_third_leading_cause_of_death_in_the_us

“Medical error—the third leading cause of death in the US”

https://www.bmj.com/content/353/bmj.i2139

“Medication Errors”

https://www.amcp.org/about/managed-care-pharmacy-101/concepts-managed-care-pharmacy/medication-errors

“...there has been extensive discussion about improving safety....” Of course there has.

“He is entitled to his opinion. He is not entitled to call it fact. For it is not.”

What is so interesting about this thread is that it becomes so emotional, judgmental, and certainly neither Socratic nor cordial.

From one of your cited books, one reads” “Experts estimate that as many as 98,000 people die in any given year from medical errors that occur in hospitals. That's more than die from motor vehicle accidents, breast cancer, or AIDS—three causes that receive far more public attention. Indeed, more people die annually from medication errors than from workplace injuries. Add the financial cost to the human tragedy, and medical error easily rises to the top ranks of urgent, widespread public problems.”

A nurse daring to opine or present something as fact irritates, and you seem to need to refute. But your facts are not always facts, best I can tell.

Consider such a response as: “It appears there is a new flavor of the week. Whoever the hell steve kirsh is.” Would such diagnosed as “goodwill?”
