Tonight, after I get home from work, will be a glass of eggnog with a little rum, something light to eat, perhaps 'A Christmas Carol' on the internet, and off to bed.
Unfortunately, with my job, I only found out at noon today, that I had Saturday and Sunday off. Since the CCP-Coronavirus CONdemic started, I've had to work every Sunday and have been unable to get to church, I see BAD changes to my personality. Tomorrow, I'll call a great number of relatives and friends, cook a nice Christmas ham dinner (making soup out of leftovers), and listen to Messiah. Boxing Day, Sunday, I'll finally be able to get to church! THAT is the highlight for me, this Christmas! Never forget the 'Reason for the Season', Jesus, who will return VERY soon! God Bless and Maranatha
I did Boxing Day when I was inn Jamaica for long stretches in the 80s
An unusual local for Christmas
Bullshots and Bloody Marys
Jamaican posh can sure put it down
Parties and more parties from Kingston to port Antonio to st Ann’s all week
Me too. I’m single, never married, no kids. My folks both died in 2020 and being Irish, none of my siblings/cousins are talking to anybody.
What I realized this year is that I LOVE Christmas. The lights the music, the decorations! And the snow. I realized that I am alone, but I the verbal abuse has stopped, it’s better to be alone, than not invited or shunned from Christmas dinners. I didn’t spend a ton of money on gifts that don’t even get a Thank you. This year I have all the good, without the abuse.
I like it. Advent was great. Merry Christmas
I’m solo tonight and tomorrow and enjoying it. Picked out some good food for tomorrows dinner and snaking tonight. Watching Christmas flicks I haven’t seen before.......and thinking about what the night of His birth was truly like for those who were there.....imagine three Kings/Wise men showing up with gifts at a stable to welcome the King of all Kings...amazing!
I prefer “A Christmas Carol” version of Scrooge over all of them.
Enjoy the night and tomorrow,
In Him,
CAWW
