Good one.

I have to remember this, or perhaps a variation:

“Why do I no longer wear tin foil hats?

Because your damn vaccines hogged all the aluminum, that’s why!’

So, in the early part of this week I took my father to the hospital to have some scheduled elective surgery that required an overnight stay, preferably.

They get the IV hooked up and the doctor comes in to announce he will be sent home after the surgery because there are no beds and that doctors were asked to send patients home or cancel surgeries that required overnight stays.

The doctor says he has sent people home with my father’s type surgery before.

Well, that might work okay if the patient is smaller than the caretaker and the caretaker/relative happens to be a nurse or if the patient is younger and in decent shape generally.

My father wasn’t happy. And I said no. No deal. Not an option in this case.

So it was cancelled.

The nurse had said she had never in all her 25 years seen the ER so full of patients and they were virus patients.

I went by the ER because I am sneaky and suspicious like that.

It wasn’t that full, and the patients in the hall were elderly.

There was no one else waiting in the same-day surgery family waiting area the whole time I was sitting there.

My father can wait on his surgery until next year sometime. He’s lived with his condition for years. I really didn’t want him having it right now because he is not vaxxed and I don’t trust how he will be treated.

I feel badly for people who really, really need to have their surgery.

I don’t think this hospital fired unvaxxed employees. I suspect many nurses quit for travel nurse jobs.

Or maybe they quit to take cash under the table to go home with someone who really shouldn’t be sent home the same day as surgery and the family wants a nurse to help them.
