When our office got its first computer, I carefully followed the directions in setting it up. But, when I pushed the start button, nothing happened.
They guy in the next office was a computer whiz and kindly came over to see if he could help out. He stood before the computer for a moment with his hand on his chin, then wryly said, “It would help if you turned it on.”
Meant to say “plugged it in”.
My first office computer had 7 RS boards (green-silicon) in a hanging file, each inside it’s own static-free “faraday” enclosure.
Depending on the clients needs, I would remove one and insert another, altering the hierarchy and extent of calculations provided.
Each RS board was approximately 10x8 inches.
that’s funny.
when wireless keyboards and mouse first hit the stores, I got one for my better angel.
I installed the drivers and off we went.
It worked fine except when I scrolled up it went down.
When I scrolled down it went up.
Scrolled left went right.
Scrolled right it went left.
Driving me nuts.
I uninstalled and reinstalled.
I was showing my wife and she calmly took the mouse and turned it right side up.
So much for the big-shot tech guy...
