People used to drink hot Dr. Pepper during the holidays
Hot Dr. Pepper hasn't been popular outside of Texas since the 1970s. Should we bring it back?

"I think sodas are not just unhealthy, but the data is strong that they hit our brains’ reward centers like a drug. Why do people drink themselves fat and ill on sodas? Because it rewires our brains to do it. If you think you are immune to the sugar bomb in soda, then great. You do you."
Yes, the sugar high is addictive and addictions do re-wire our brains. I'm not disputing that. Just saying the occasional diet Coke in the summer after working around the yard creates no constant craving for me. Now, Captain Morgan's spice rum is another thing...ha.

I remember buying cartons of coke syrup there too, it was mixed with a liquid and taken for nausea and upset stomach.

Heat it on the stove, don’t get it too hot, squeeze some fresh lemon juice into it. DELISH!

What I crave on a hot summer day is Gin and Tonic. I have been keeping myself off them through and replaced it with lemonade, light on sugar with a shot of whiskey.
