People used to drink hot Dr. Pepper during the holidays
Hot Dr. Pepper hasn't been popular outside of Texas since the 1970s. Should we bring it back?
the take out ^

Back in the 60’s, the local butcher/beer store/convenience shop owner, who had the monopoly on those items in our farm town, was know to prefer his bottle of Coke warm. That would have been a 6-1/2oz bottle.

That and Dr. Perky:

... a slice of orange works also ...
I worked at a Burger Chef in W TX for two of my college years. On cold evenings we would fill a coffee pot with Dr Pepper and after it warmed up, could be enjoyed by the whole crew. One cold evening our Most Elevated Jefe (PBUH) came in check on the night shift and asked what the pot had in it. He liked it so much that he suggested when the temp outside dropped below 50 degrees that we should put a pot on and offer it as an alternative to coffee.

Very little now since "Green" Dr Pepper is difficult to find. Agreed. However, Wal-mart does carry four-packs of Dr Pepper bottles (glass) that use real sugar instead of HFCS.

Used to drink hot DrP at night football games in Arizona in the sixties and seventies. A slice of lemon with it. Exact same in Colorado.

I suppose if it’s drowned in whiskey.

I live in the desert. I’ve had it hot. Not on purpose. Do not recommend.

Reminds me of the movie Blast From the Past.
Bingo. They thought Christopher Walken was truly crazy. (Good movie BTW) Lived in Texas 34 years and not one time had anyone I know mention it or talk about it. I’m wondering if it would really be good. Back then it was Dublin Dr. Pepper made with real cane sugar. Now its made with corn syrup.

I drank hot Dr Pepper growing up in Southwest Virginia in the 1960s. Our mother would put a pan on the stovetop to heat up for when we kids came in from playing outside.
