What? “For the first time in history steel was melted by Fire??”
Yah, i lived in Chicago. Happens every day the south side, and in Pittsburg, and Bethlehem PA. What does she think happens to all steel in recycled cars? Thats right, they go into a smelter to be melted!
However..I agree.the steel in those buildings did not need to melt or experience brash failure for the buildings to collapse. The initial damage of the plane caused stress fractures to the bolts and welds at the strike point where the beams were secured to the outside frame. With about 900-1000 degrees heating for about 40 min and the steel beams began to soften and deform. At a certain point the interior beams sag 4-5”, the joints/bolts/welds break, and the floor pulls away from the exterior frame and the pancaking (active loading/collapse) begins.
Sigh, slide over.
We are talking about building 7. Not the ones hit by planes
Don’t forget, though, about the research we did about the weak steel and cement... where bodies and blood were disposed of secretly. That was a scam going on for decades and may contribute to construction failures.
