“Mark Meadows, former chief of staff for President Donald Trump, is suing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the House committee that is investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
After choosing not to cooperate with the Jan. 6 investigatory panel, the former North Carolina congressman will likely face contempt charges.
Court records from the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., show Meadows will file a civil complaint against the legislators, Politico first reported on Wednesday.
In addition to Pelosi, the civil lawsuit specifically lists the individual members of the Jan. 6 panel: Reps. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), Susan Lofgren (D-Calif.), Elaine Luria (D-Va.), Peter Aguilar (D- Calif.), Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.).
The defendants are being sued in their official capacities as U.S. representatives.
The case seeks to have the court invalidate two subpoenas issued by the panel to Meadows and Verizon, his personal cellphone carrier.
The 43-page complaint calls the subpoenas “overly broad and unduly burdensome,” CNBC reports.”
I’m not going to be that skeptical.

“Mayor Bill de Blasio’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for New York City employees, including the NYPD, has been blocked by a Manhattan court,” Newsweek reported.
“On Tuesday, Judge Frank P. Nervo in the Supreme Court of New York gave notice that the mandate was suspended, pending a hearing scheduled for December 14,” the report added.

When my dad died, I had to take his chihuahua. I immediately started looking for a home for him. I called this rescue and this woman yelled at me and said I should haven’t taken the dog if I couldn’t care for him. I asked her what part of my dad dying did she not understand? She didn’t care.
In the end, one of my coworkers aunt took him, and that dog lived better than most of us do. Lived in a big house and gardens, went to the beach. I know my dad was proud.

“EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. — A father and son are now under arrest, accused of reckless arson in connection with the Caldor Fire, the massive wildfire that burned more than 200,000 acres in El Dorado and Amador Counties.
David Scott Smith, 66, and Travis Shane Smith, 32, were arrested pursuant to Ramey warrants. A Ramey warrant is a warrant that is issued before criminal charges are filed.
The two men are accused of violating section 452 of the California Penal Code, commonly referred to as “reckless arson,” which caused inhabited properties to burn and resulted in ‘great bodily injury to multiple victims.’”
