Lighting up your screen with its Forest Green Metallic hue is a rarity. This 1993 Toyota Deluxe Pickup has all of 94 miles, 80 of which from its first owner. This perfectly preserved truck is ready for a new home. Be careful, just staring at it can put a damper on the rest of your day.
Old Toyota pickups get used so much and so hard that seeing one all beat up, rusted out and with the better half of a million miles is common. These trucks work so hard that they’re famous for their longevity.
That’s why seeing this one that’s soon to roll across Mecum’s auction block is so mind-boggling.

Driven by a little old lady who only used it to go to church on Sundays. And the church was just down the block.
Almost 30 years old and the styling still looks good; simple and purposeful.
I was going to post the pic on your first thread but there was no reply link.

I had a 96 that I would beat.the.literal.s**t out of.
Thing was BULLETPROOF, and with the wheels I had would go anywhere. Couldn’t get it stuck if you tried.
far superior to the humvee, its a goat.
They really are legendary for the right reasons. Made in the U.S.A right? /s
Beautiful little truck.
I inherited my dad’s 1990 small Toyota 4-wheel drive pick-up when he died. Had low mileage b/c he said he’d bought the wrong type of truck, preferred a manual transmission - it had sat in a garage for years.
We didn’t need it so husband put it on Craig’s List to sell. We got calls instantly and immediately, the first to call said he’d be right over with cash in hand and we sold it on the spot for what we’d asked for.
Got calls for days afterwards, people offering to come “right over” - truck was far more valuable than we’d thought.
now you know.
Sold my 1990 Tacoma with 319,000 miles on it, still have my 2004 with 394,000 and my 2019 with 40,000. Brakes, oil, exhaust, suspension and door latches the only things I’ve ever replaced on one. Incredibly reliable.
They could have kept making them and kept selling them - kept the old machinery
They have been made in the USA. Unfortunately, I believe there are plans to shift production to Mexico.

Our 93 4 Runner had the 6 banger. Very good car and 4wd but it was starting to wear out and we couldn't find a reliable repair shop. It was well maintained by us. We need a reliable second car.
Anyway, we traded it in for a new 4 Runner. We checked the price tag afterwards and the dealership were asking $10,000 for it. Looks like it had sold.
they are still making WWII BMW motorcycles on old tooling, because they worked.
The Russian Ural has drive to the sidecar and a machinegun. :)
