Yes, I expect you’re right. I never did the sand roads myself - they look interesting but not for me going out there alone... I took a friend of mine to South Green Street just this past weekend - right out to the bay so that she could see the water.

The end of Green Street on the bay was a popular crabbing spot for out of towners. There was a bar there named Moby Dicks that had an old long shuffle board. We used to hang out there play shuffle board and drink Becks on tap.

Yes. Central Appalachia. As I said when I was a twenty something me and my buddies would jam into my VW van, and go ‘camping’’. Camping ha!.

Couple of cases of beer and some weed, yeah we were ‘’camping’’.

Seriously though it’s VERY easy to get lost in The Pines. The Great Adventure Amusement Park is located near there. We’d pull in off a local road and drive in maybe a half a mile to a little spot we knew of, a kind of small clearing.

We knew Great Adventure was to the north of us ( I always took a compass)and we knew that the Parkway was just beyond that. As long as we keep oriented that way we knew how to get out.

We never ventured any further into the Pines than that.

The bodies have been found, according to local press, by police drones. Apparently found together in densely wooded area of their property. One of the reader comments I read was that they were found in very thick thorn bush thicket.(Patch.com/New Jersey/Barnegat/Manahawkin) Autopsies to be done but they do not suspect foul play, although it begs the question how did they get in the thorns? Possibly got stuck in them when it started getting dark? It’s a very very strange story and I feel for their daughter.
