Saturday matinees


In the early 1950s it was 25 cents for two movies, previews, cartoons, and a news reel. Between the movies there was a drawing of tickets. If you had the winning ticket you got to stick you hand into a jar full of coins and keep what ever you could bring out (usually pennies and nickles).

in the summers we could get in for 6 Pepsi caps off of the bottle on Thursday afternoon
