They had to come up with something, since the claim that Wood was not his criminal attorney, and hence could not keep Kyle in prison, as Kyle claimed.

Expect more bright shiny objects to be tossed to keep eyese away from the other trial in NY, and the issues being revealed about the 2020 election.
